Ephesians 4 Grantee: Cooperative Pentecost Weekend!
Better late than never! We wanted to announce a recent awardee of an Ephesians 4 grant: UCG & the Father’s Call
These two groups received an Ephesians 4 grant in 2022 as well and continue to do amazing work in the Bay Area of California! This year, they used their grant funds to subsidize a combined weekend between the United Church of God and the Father’s Call over Pentecost weekend. They even shared the Holy Day together, which sets a fantastic precedent and example! There were members of other COG groups, outside of UCG and the Father’s Call, in attendance as well.
Once again, thank you so much to the ministers and members in the Bay Area for making this event possible and for their desire for fellowship within the one Body of Christ. In many ways they are a prime example of how to build community in the Church of God: 1) Establish trusting relationships between the ministers involved, 2) commit to the idea of fellowship and service, and 3) come up with creative solutions that address everyone’s concerns and alleviate logistical hurdles.
If you or someone you know hosts, or would like to host, a fellowship event, check out CGN’s Ephesians 4 Project. Or if you’re not interested in funding, but would like us to showcase the event on our website and social media, reach out to us via our Contact Us page.
