New CGN Grant Recipient Announced!

We are excited to announce the newest recipient of the CGN Educational and Business Development Grants program!

Meet Regina Quakumey. She is a member of the Church of God, An International Community and lives in Ghana. She is using her grant to complete her education and become a midwife.

Regina had the following to share about her education and goals:

I am pursuing a two-year midwifery program at the St. Michael’s Midwifery Training School, Pramso, in the Ashanti region of Ghana. It is on top of my Nurse Assistant Clinical qualification, which I obtained earlier. So far, I have completed three semesters of study, comprising twelve months of classroom work and five months of field work. I am left with my final semester which spans the next seven months, after which I will graduate and become a qualified midwife.

My immediate goal after completing this program is to gain employment in a health facility where my expertise will be needed and utilized the most. My ultimate goal is to build up capacity, experience, relevant networks, and financial resources in order to establish my own health facility where I can train my own personnel and provide the health service necessary for community and national development.

We will all be praying for your success, Regina!
