Annual Thanksgiving Service & Traditional Thanksgiving Dinner

To all Church of God groups and individuals in Central Pennsylvania and surrounding areas:

Our annual Thanksgiving service followed by a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, followed by a dance will be held on November 14, 2026. We have been hosting this event for 21 years. Church services will be at 2:30 at the First Church of God Community Center at 201 E Green St. in Mechanicsburg, PA . Everyone is welcome for services, but you do not have to attend services if you want to worship with your usual group. Everyone is welcome for the meal and dance. The meal will begin about 4:30 and the dance at 6:00.

This is a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner…NOT a pot luck. Everyone who comes for dinner will be asked to bring a specific side dish. We need a count for the meal because we do set up tables with place settings. So if you plan to come for the meal, please contact Sue Johns to sign up and see what you can bring. The dance will be DJ’d by Dan Prosser, long time church member who knows appropriate music. Dan is a professional square dance caller and will do lots of line dances and square dancing for all.

The Community Center is large so we don’t have to worry about capacity.

This is a great opportunity to see your friends from several groups….don’t wait for a funeral!
