COG Development Grant Update: Growing Opportunity in Malawi
Weโre excited to share an encouraging update from one of our COG Development Grant recipients, James Luwanja of Malawi, who attends with the Living Church of God.
Thanks to support from Church of God Network, James was able to purchase a petrol-powered water pump to launch and sustain a small farming venture. With this equipment, he successfully cultivated rice and sweet potatoesโhelping him better provide for his family and create opportunities for others in his community.
James shared that the project is still running strong, and that the impact has extended beyond his household. Local community members benefit through employment and even use of the pump to water nearby gardens. While ongoing fuel shortages in the region have presented some challenges, James is already looking ahead, exploring the possibility of transitioning to a solar-powered system to ensure long-term sustainability.
