CGN Launches New Partnership with Gevura to Provide Legal Support for Brethren
Church of God Network is excited to announce a new partnership with Gevura designed to help brethren across the United States navigate religious accommodation and discrimination issues involving the Sabbath, Holy Days, and other sincerely held religious beliefs.
For brethren facing these situations, one of the biggest challenges is often simply knowing where to turn. Through this partnership, CGN can now connect brethren with specialized expertise, practical guidance, and, when appropriate, experienced legal assistance. Support can include help requesting Sabbath and Holy Day accommodations, understanding available legal protections, drafting accommodation letters, evaluating potential discrimination, and connecting with experienced attorneys when legal intervention is necessary.
The partnership will also go beyond responding to individual situations. CGN and Gevura plan to develop webinars, articles, podcast episodes, and other educational resources to help brethren better understand their rights and prepare for potential challenges before they arise.
Our hope is simple: to make sure brethren facing challenges because of their religious convictions have a trusted place to start and access to the help they need to stand firm in those convictions. This partnership creates a community-wide pathway to expertise that can serve brethren across hundreds of Church of God congregations and organizations.
