Church of God Network is excited to recognize the latest recipient of a COG Development Program grant: Esi Bentumah Wobil of Ghana, a member of the Church of God, a Worldwide Association (COGWA).

Her goal is to establish Boldstep Beauty Empire, a modern beauty and fashion studio offering professional makeup, nail care, pedicure services, and custom fashion design—all under one roof. More importantly, she is building a business that will also serve as a place of opportunity, equipping individuals in her community with practical, employable skills through hands-on training and mentorship.

The grant from CGN’s COG Development Program is helping Esi purchase the specialized equipment needed to complete her studio and officially launch operations. She had already secured a storefront, paid a full year’s rent, begun renovations, and invested in initial equipment before seeking assistance to bridge the remaining funding gap.

Once fully operational, Boldstep Beauty Empire will provide:

• Professional makeup services
• Nail care and nail art
• Pedicure services
• Custom fashion design
• Beauty and fashion skills training
• Mentorship and certification opportunities for individuals seeking employment or entrepreneurship

A particularly inspiring aspect of Esi’s vision is her commitment to giving back. She plans to provide free skills training for interested members of the Church of God, while also opening opportunities to others in the surrounding community. Through practical instruction, mentorship, and certification, she hopes to help participants develop marketable skills, start businesses of their own, and improve their livelihoods.

Esi brings more than six years of professional experience as a certified beautician and fashion designer to this endeavor, along with previous experience training others in the beauty industry. Her long-term vision includes expanding the business, creating jobs, and making a lasting economic impact within her community.
