Ephesians 4 Grantee: Annual Churchwide BBQ in California 2025

This year’s Annual Church of God BBQ in California was yet another wonderful testament to the power of fellowship and unity within the Body of Christ. Thanks to a grant from Church of God Network through our Ephesians 4 Project, this beloved event continued its mission of bringing together brethren from several different Church of God organizations for a day of encouragement, joyful connection, and spiritual refreshment.

The event was a vibrant gathering of members and ministers representing several different Church of God groups across the region. The aroma of a delicious BBQ filled the air, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere where old friendships were rekindled and new ones blossomed. But beyond the good food and sunshine, the heart of the event was the fellowship that naturally flowed among everyone present.

Events like this remind us how vital it is to come together beyond our local congregations — to share our stories, uplift one another, and grow stronger in faith as a united community. The encouragement shared in conversations and worship reinforces our shared calling as part of the same family in Christ.

At Church of God Network, we are humbled and grateful to play a part in supporting gatherings like this through the Ephesians 4 Project — an grant program dedicated to building unity and strengthening bonds within the Church of God worldwide. These moments of connection serve as a powerful reminder of Paul’s call in Ephesians 4 to make every effort to “keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”
