Two Texas Congregations Join the 1% Initiative: A Bold Step Toward Unity
We are delighted to announce that two more congregations have joined the Church of God Network’s 1% Initiative: the Central Texas Church of God and the South Texas Church of God! Their commitment marks a significant step forward in our collective mission to strengthen cooperation and fellowship across the Church of God community.
The 1% Initiative encourages congregations to dedicate 1% of their annual operating budgets to community-building efforts within the Church of God. This can include organizing joint events, sharing services, and supporting cross-organizational programs. It’s a small percentage with big impact—and these churches are making it happen!
With the addition of our Central and South Texas brethren, momentum continues to grow—and so does the hope for a more connected Church of God family. We are incredibly grateful for their vision, generosity, and willingness to lead by example. Their participation reflects a deep desire to serve something bigger than any one congregation—and that’s a cause we can all rally behind.
Let’s celebrate this step forward in faith, and keep building toward a future of greater unity, together.
We are excited to see how these congregations will contribute to the initiative’s goal of building a more connected and unified Church of God community. Their participation serves as an inspiration for other congregations to consider how they, too, can play a role in this transformative effort.
