2 Year Anniversary of Church of God Network

It is hard to believe that today is Church of God Network’s 2 year anniversary! There have been a lot of developments in our second year and we could not have done it without the support and encouragement from brethren around the world and across the Church of God.

This past year, we were truly moved by the spirit of partnership and service shown to us by ministers and members alike throughout the Body of Christ. Church of God ministers have shown themselves to be generous with their time and provided crucial feedback and support to us in a number of ways. This has especially been the case regarding our Educational & Business Development Grants program. They provided valuable feedback, shared their experiences, and even helped us verify needs in the countries they serve. We have found many to be willing to get on the phone or even meet in person to speak with us. They are always energizing and rewarding conversations!

We are also incredibly grateful to the many people who volunteer their time as a part of the Church of God Network team. We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without them. If you are interested in helping out and volunteering your time for this mission, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us!

Here are just a few quick highlights from our 2nd year:

1. We added two new members to our Board of Directors: 1) Chantelle West (COGWA) and 2) Tim Reynolds (LCG)
2. We are 4 episodes into our newly launched CGN Podcast.
3. We launched the Within Your Gates program which promotes, facilitates, and funds work parties to serve brethren and our local communities.
4. We launched the COG Fellowship Events grant program which awards micro-grants to individuals and Church congregations to help sponsor fellowship events that are open to brethren from all Church of God organizations. And we even awarded our first grant!
5. Our Educational and Business Development Grants program has now awarded grants to 10 individuals.
6. Our Congregation Map now lists over 1,600 congregations from over 130 Church organizations in over 90 different countries.
7. Our COG Resource Center now includes over 400 resources from around the Church of God.
8. We posted over a dozen blog posts from brethren from across the Church of God. Including posts from pastors Gary Petty of the United Church of God and Rod Reynolds of Messenger Church of God.
9. CGN President Daniel Russo gave the keynote address (entitled “People of Action”) at the Unity of the Spirit and Fellowship Conference.

We are excited to see what the next year brings. We look forward to finding new and creative ways to help build community within the Church of God and to serve each other. There are few things as exciting, uplifting, and important as being with brethren and, with your help, we can ensure that the infrastructure for connection is built now so that CGN’s vision can be realized: A cohesive and dynamic Church of God community with frequent fellowship, open communication, and active cooperation between members and staff of the various Church of God organizations.
