During the third week of each month, Church of God Network will be highlighting a “Resource of the Month.” Our goal is to promote new and existing initiatives from around the Church of God and expose brethren to opportunities and resources they might not otherwise have encountered. Each resource featured in our “Resource of the Month” series can also be found in the “COG Resource Center” section of our website.

January’s Resource of the Month is Camp Outreach! It is organized by Common Ground Christian Ministries and is a charitable initiative that provides assistance to widows in the form of property improvements and repairs.

Camp Outreach, is a natural outgrowth of the emphasis that Common Ground Christian Ministries places on loving our neighbors. It is a camp with a purpose. Young adults, and people of all ages, come together to make improvements on properties owned by widows who are no longer physically or financially able to handle the repairs themselves. Camps have been held in Georgetown, Kentucky, Pascagoula, Mississippi; Indianapolis & Plainfield, Indiana,Chattanooga, Tennessee and Olivehurst, California.
