Each month, Church of God Network features a “Sermon of the Month.” Our goal is to promote insightful and inspiring messages from around the Church of God. This month our feature sermon is “Unity” by Derek Strauss, a member of the United Church of God, an International Community.

We appreciate sermons from Church of God groups that explicitly address the need for unity and cooperation amongst the various organizations. Sermons like this are critical to shifting the conversation away from particular organizations to the larger spiritual organism that is the Church of God.

Summary from website:

Unity is one of the most elusive goals known to mankind.

Eph 4:13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; Eph 4:14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, Eph 4:15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ
